Quote

I have always loved this quote.

"Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression." -- Dr. Haim Ginott

It's so important that we remember that children are always watching what we do and say. We should always make sure that they are seeing positive actions when they are around their teachers because in many cases, that may be the only positive interactions that they encounter on a day-to-day basis.

This quote is true, children are like sponges. When we think they are not watching or listening, they are. Children absorb everything!

So true! As teachers, we have to make sure that we are always portraying a positive image for these children because they are watching. :)

It's amazing how much children absorb from adults. I've always said adults must be careful what you say and do around children. One of the students at daycare cursed and the teacher asked him not to say it again. He said, "well I heard it from Mrs....."!
